I am trying to find 2 mini hostas in the Toronto area? I had 2 on a grave but mowers cut down and no growth this year. If you could please suggest where to try. Originally purchased at horticultural school Niagara but a long way to go from Toronto.
Thank you for your question about miniature hostas. The Toronto Master Gardeners do not endorse any specific garden centre. In the Toronto area, there are many local and big box stores that carry hostas. Below is a link to Landscape Ontario. Go to their website and click on “Find a Company”, then search for Retail Garden Centre in your area.
Some of the miniature or “tea cup” hostas you could look for are: Cameo, Church Mouse, Mini Skirt, Pandora’s Box and Sun Mouse. When placing the new hostas in the area you mentioned, a small ring of embedded stones or bricks around the hostas could indicate the grass cutting boundary.
