how do I treat these rose bushes. I have about 25 feet of rose bushes, facing south. my garden is just north of the 401, off bayview. The area of the bushes is fairly dry. most of the bushes seem to be affected.
It looks like you have a budworm problem with your roses. Here is a link to a similar question and answer.
Since this year’s flower is already damaged you might want to prune off the affected buds and dispose of in your garbage in case there are still pests in them.
Sometimes these issues arise with overcrowding and lack of airflow through the plants. You may want to look into this to see if this might be relevant in your situation. Perhaps removing some plants or pruning back to allow for some space between plants might be necessary.
