We are very lucky to have a 75′ rather steep hill in our back yard, part of a small ridge in East Toronto. East facing with many mature trees, it’s already a place where lots of birds and other critters live. That said, there is a great deal of erosion in some parts and very little ground planting. What native species can we plant to “rewild” the hillside even more, and what features should we add in to encourage critters, bugs, birds, etc…
